Connecting Communities to Coverage Summits Held in Plattsburgh and Glens Falls
Community partners were thanked for helping educate and assist nearly 6,000 regional individuals, families and small business owners toward affordable health insurance coverage through the NY State of Health Marketplace. AHI’s health insurance Enrollment Assistance Services and Education (EASE) program hosted two successful “Connecting Communities to Coverage” Summits – on Tuesday, June 16 in Plattsburgh, and Wednesday, June 17, in Glens Falls.
Other event highlights included key note addresses by Stephens Mundy, President and CEO, UVM Health Network – CVPH and John Rugge, MD, CEO, Hudson Headwaters Health Network and appearances and personal stories by clients served by the program.
The EASE program has offered free health insurance enrollment assistance services in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties since the Marketplace opened on October 1, 2013.
