The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is offering a behavior health grant opportunity that supports our DSRIP and Triple Aim efforts.
Organizations implementing the DSRIP project 3.a.i. Integration of Primary Care and Behavioral Health Services, are strongly encouraged to evaluate the following opportunity and consider applying.
DSRIP requires major changes in how health care services are designed and delivered, and these sustainable changes require resources. The success of Performing Provider Systems will depend, in part, on the ability of the PPS and its partners to leverage funding opportunities, such as this one, that support their DSRIP efforts.
GRANT
- SAMHSA Primary and Behavioral Health Care Integration Grant Opportunity
According to SAMHSA, the goal of its program is to “improve the physical health status of adults with serious mental illnesses, and those with co-occurring substance use disorders.” These adults are at risk for chronic disease and would benefit from the program’s integrated services through the co-location of primary and specialty care medical services in community-based behavioral health settings.
Application due date: Friday, February 27, 2015.
