Adirondack Health Institute (AHI) oversees the regional collaboration among health care providers serving the Adirondack North Country. Located in Queensbury, NY, AHI helps address rapid changes and challenges to the health care system within an eight county region.

Director of Fiscal and Corporate Affairs
We are looking for the right person to bring their expertise to our innovative, achievement-driven culture that supports the mission and core values of the organization.
The Director of Fiscal and Corporate Affairs is responsible for financial and operational aspects of the organization. The Director reports to the CEO, is accountable to the AHI Finance Committee and will partner with the Senior Management team with corporate development and strategy. The Director will drive efforts to ensure that synergies are documented and realized. Overall responsibilities include leadership and general management of the following administrative and financial aspects; start-up initiatives, on-going operational plans, service level agreements, budgets, and enhancement of supporting financial systems, processes and infrastructure. This position assures financial and operational risk is properly managed while focusing on optimizing financial performance.
Requires a BA/BS, MBA desired; healthcare industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Senior level management is preferred.
Knowledge of general administrative and financial service units; human resources, planning and development, financial affairs and auditing, information technology, and contract negotiations. Candidate must demonstrate strong management and communication skills.
Senior Accountant
To facilitate our growth, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in accounting and finance, cost and budget accounting, contract administration and records management. Experience with advanced financial analysis.
The Senior Accountant will help oversee the accounting functions within the finance department reporting to the Director of Finance. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will also help to develop and maintain accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statement reporting. You’ll manage tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting/finance activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, analyze revenues and expenses to ensure recorded appropriately on a monthly basis, prepare account reconciliations, prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close, assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances, assist with financial and corporate audits, assist with corporate reporting requirements, assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls, other projects as assigned.
Requires a BA/BS, healthcare industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of accounting theories and principles, computer proficiency, ability to prioritize, excellent planning, analytical and time management skills.
Quality Business Analyst
We are looking for the right person to work with the clinical quality and utilization data vendors, consultants and pilot leadership to develop and maintain metrics based processes and reporting to deliver added value to our Medical Home pilot providers and Health Home partners. Other responsibilities include: the design and coding of systems to support variousoperational and grant initiatives, documentation on new and existing systems and providing end user training.
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from a college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of database structure and manipulation and computer hardware systems is required as well as knowledge of standard programming structures and ability to program with products available within our system. Must be proficient in report and application development using Excel Access, SQL, and Visual Basic. Comfortable analyzing data and identifying trends or anomalies; familiar with statistical analysis tools and techniques. Strong task and project management skills with attention to detail.
