AHI PPS Provides Forum to Simplify Analytics Tool

To help end users better understand and navigate the complexities of the Salient Interactive Miner (SIM) tool, the AHI PPS (Performing Provider System) has initiated monthly user group meetings and an online discussion area on the NYS Department of Health’s MRT Innovation eXchange (MIX) website.

The SIM tool, presently being used by AHI PPS partners, provides an interface to query, analyze, and report de-identified Medicaid claims data. Ultimately, the tool and analytics help to align, measure, and improve Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) project function.

According to Justine Mosher, Data Analyst, AHI, user group conference call meetings are held on the 25th of each month, except on holidays. The meetings provide a forum for partners to ask questions, exchange ideas, and share tips to make the tool easier to understand and use. Mosher has also created a SIM Collaboration discussion area in the Data Sharing and IT Group section of the website.

Those interested in participating in the monthly conference call meetings may contact Justine at 518.480.0111, ext. 409.  [email protected] for more information. To participate in online discussions, visit www.ny-mix.org.
