Nearly 200 regional and state health care experts convened at AHI – Adirondack Health Institute’s 8th Annual Summit to explore health care delivery transformation in our rural region. The event, Innovative Approaches to Rural Health Care, took place on September 29 in Lake Placid.
Among experts who participated in the event, Jason Helgerson, Medicaid Director at the New York State Department of Health, presented a keynote address focusing on the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program and the opportunity it presents to transform health care delivery. A group of physicians representing a diverse array of organizations then participated in a panel discussion on the impact value based payment will have in the region.
