Adirondack Foundation:
Grant awards from the Adirondack Foundation aim to maximize the effectiveness of the sector in the following program areas: education, culture, human well-being environment and community vitality.

Adirondack Trust Company Community Fund:
The Adirondack Trust Company Community Fund (ATC Community Fund) awards Lend-A-Hand grants to projects or programs that directly influence the communities we serve in Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties.
*Applications are typically accepted from April to August, average application is $1,000 – $2,000.
Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region:
The mission of the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region is to strengthen our community through philanthropy.
*Serve residents and be located within the ten-county Capital Region of New York State: Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, and Washington Counties.
Charles R. Wood Foundation:
The Charles R. Wood Foundation was founded in 1978 with its mission to provide assistance to areas of special need in the Lake George Region and surrounding areas. Not-for-profit organizations with an emphasis on programs for children, healthcare and the arts are the beneficiaries of Mr. Wood’s generosity. A Board of Trustees oversees the Foundation with a goal to preserve the mission established by Charles R. Wood.
Cloudsplitter Foundation:
The foundation is dedicated to improving the future for the flora, fauna, communities, and people of the Adirondacks. Over 70% of the grants made by the Cloudsplitter Foundation go to improve the environment, economies, and lives of the people in the Adirondacks.
Excellus BlueCross BlueShield-Community Health Awards
Excellus BlueCross BlueShield through a competitive application process, support programs that have clear goals to improve the health or health care of a specific population. Each recipient is awarded up to $5,000 allocated by the company to help fund health and wellness programs their defined catchment areas. See website for counties covered and applicable dates.
Glens Falls Foundation:
The Glens Falls Foundation is a non-profit community trust that serves the tri-county region comprising Warren, Washington and northern Saratoga Counties. The Distribution Committee has established the following priorities for approving grant applications; capital projects, equipment purchases, new initiatives, and special projects.
Grants Gateway:
New York State’s online grant application and contract management system. They offer documentation, training, webinars, videos, and support. The Grants Gateway allows you to search for funding opportunities and apply for grants online. The Grants Gateway also includes the State’s Prequalification system. Prequalification allows non-profit vendors to proactively provide required documents, forms, and proof of policies that all State agencies require prior to reviewing grant applications and awarding contracts.
Irving Foundation:
The Irving Foundation has previously supported a wide range of projects in the arts, education, child welfare, and the environment. Most grants are in the range of $1,000 to $10,000, with occasional larger grants. No grants are made to individuals; all grant recipients must be U.S. 501-c3 charities registered with the Internal Revenue Service.
*To be considered, proposals must be submitted by June 1st or November 1st, respectively.
Mother Cabrini Health Foundation:
The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation supports programs that meet the unmet health care needs of individuals, families, and communities throughout New York State.
MVP Health Care’s Corporate Giving Program
MVP-Heatlh Care strives to support events and programs that relate to communities within their service area. All requests must be made at a minimum of 60 days in advance of a planned event or program through our online submission process.
NYS Health Foundation:
This foundation is a grant maker for most health-related issues, including quality primary care, diabetes prevention, and health policy making.

Project Innovation:
Award to non-profit organizations in 11 NBC and Telemundo owned television station markets that are tackling everyday problems through innovative solutions. Project Innovation grant categories are Culture of Inclusion, Youth Education, Next Generation Storytellers, and Community Engagement.
Stewarts Match Program:
The Stewart’s Match program started 34 years ago to specifically benefit organizations/programs for kids under the age of 18 in the areas of social services, health, education, recreations and the arts.
*Non-profit 501c3 organizations are able to apply for funds starting Thanksgiving Day through January 31st.
The Foundation of CVPH
CVPH-In keeping with the mission of The Foundation of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital to improve the health status of the community and region, the Board of Directors established a community grant funding program in 1989. Grants are made periodically to assist local groups addressing significant regional health and wellness issues within Clinton, Essex and/or Franklin Counties.
Research Focused
William T. Grant Foundation:
This foundation invests in high-quality research focused on reducing inequality in youth outcomes and improving the use of research evidence in decisions that affect young people in the United States.
Currently, the Foundation funds research that increases our understanding of: (1) the programs, policies, and practices that reduce inequality in youth outcomes, and (2) how policymakers and practitioners acquire, interpret, and use research evidence.

Bank of America’s own charitable grantmaking program is administered by the Bank of America Charitable Foundation. Bank of America, N.A. is proud to serve as trustee or co-trustee of a wide variety of discretionary charitable foundations.
Cigna Foundation
Cigna’s charitable giving philosophy is part of their mission to improve the health, well-being, and peace of mind of those they serve. Current grant program topics are Healthier Kids for Our Future, Health and Well-Being, and Education and Workforce Development. Gladys Brooks Foundation
Foundation-The Foundation will consider grant proposals with emphasis on innovative projects in the fields of libraries, education, hospitals and clinics. The period for submitting a Grant Proposal Letter is January 1 through May 31.
Grants.gov:
Managed by the Department of Health and Human Services, Grants.gov is an E-Government initiative operating under the governance of the Office of Management and Budget. Under the President’s Management Agenda, the office was chartered to deliver a system that provides a centralized location for grant seekers to find and apply for federal funding opportunities. Today, the Grants.gov system houses information on over 1,000 grant programs and vets grant applications for federal grant-making agencies.
Hanson Family Foundation:
The Foundation believes that it can provide the highest value to the grant recipients where gifts provide a start or a “seed” that can provide a benefit over time. Accordingly, the Foundation will generally give preference to those organizations, individuals, and/or initiatives that will stand the test of time, will inspire others to get involved, and will be a manifestation of our mission.

NACCHO offers opportunities for local health departments to secure funding for various projects.
Rural Health Information Hub:
The Rural Health Information Hub is funded by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy to be a national clearing house on rural health issues.
