COPD GOLD Standards: The Latest in Diagnosis and Treatment

The Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) works with health care professionals and public health officials to raise awareness of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and to improve prevention and treatment of this lung disease. The Global Strategy for the diagnosis, management and prevention of COPD is a valuable resource for medical professionals. This training will include recommendations for ongoing patient self-management and education, new approaches to medication management and enhanced outpatient transition criteria. Further, participants will understand that accurate identification and maximal medical management of patients with COPD will increase positive outcomes for patients and experience minimal exacerbations.

The target audience includes Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and other interested health care providers involved in the treatment of COPD.
