Content will focus on developing an understanding of the National CLAS (Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services) Standards. The CLAS Standards are intended to advance health equity, improve quality and help eliminate health care disparities by establishing a blueprint for health and health care organizations to look at four areas of improvement: 1) Principal Standard; 2) Governance, Leadership and Accountability; 3) Communication and Language Assistance; 4) Engagement, Continuous Improvement and Accountability.
