Health system telemedicine integration will be the focus of this year’s Second Annual North Country Telemedicine Conference, co-hosted by AHI and the Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization. Program readiness assessment, planning and implementation, telehealth partnerships, telepsychiatry, state telemedicine regulations and legal/contracting issues will be among the topics covered at the event. A more complete agenda will be shared closer to the event date.
Presentations include:
- Eric Mitchell, MD, Medical Director, Elevate Health, Inc., the conference keynote presenter, will provide an introduction to telehealth integration, including an overview of VideoHealth™, telehealth software that allows real-time, face-to-face interactions between patients and remotely-located providers.
- Michael Hasselburg, Director, Project ECHO® (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center, will provide an overview of Project ECHO®, an innovative model to improve access to complex chronic disease and specialty care in underserved communities through the use of videoconferencing technology.
- Rena Brewer, CEO, Global Partnership for TeleHealth, will provide an overview of the Georgia Partnership for TeleHealth, a program focused on increasing access to health care through the innovative use of technology, including telemedicine, health information exchange, and telehealth.
