AHI’s KNYC (Keep New York Covered) program is designed to inform New Yorkers about upcoming changes to healthcare coverage options, enrollment, and renewals as the Public Health Emergency comes to an end.
Do you or a family member currently have health coverage through New York State Medicaid, Child Health Plus, or the Essential Plan? In Spring 2023, New York State resumes eligibility reviews and renewals for people enrolled in these programs. This means you may need to take action to renew your coverage or the coverage of your family members.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Since early 2020, NY has been automatically renewing certain health insurance coverages each year due to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. This will end in Spring 2023.
- Anyone currently enrolled in Medicaid, Child Health Plus, or the Essential Plan may be affected.
- What do you need to do? Contact us. We will let you know when you need to renew your coverage or if you need to update your information.
