St. Lawrence Health System and AHI leaders recently concluded discussions that resulted in welcoming St. Lawrence Health System as an AHI member.
“We are extremely pleased to officially welcome St. Lawrence Health System to our partnership,” said Margaret M. Vosburgh, CEO, AHI.
Among the programs spearheaded by AHI is the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program, a significant endeavor aimed at restructuring the health care delivery system by reinvesting in the Medicaid program.
“We’re joining the (AHI) partnership at a critical juncture in the health care transformation process,” said David B. Acker, FACHE, President and CEO, St. Lawrence Health System. “DSRIP, for example, is asking us to fundamentally change how we view, approach, and deliver health care services. The challenges and opportunities we face are the same as other AHI partners. Membership will allow us to tap into and share expertise, best practices, resources, and more, while supporting the important work of AHI.”
St. Lawrence Health System, established in December 2013 with the mission to improve health, to deliver better care and customer experience, and to lower costs through coordination and integration of services, joins AHI members Adirondack Health, Glens Falls Hospital, Hudson Headwaters Health Network and the University of Vermont Health Network – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital.
